LSFF is a film festival that prides itself on giving a platform to new filmmaking and curatorial voices from across the world, and from all backgrounds. We want to make sure that everyone attending the festival feels welcome and safe.
We do not tolerate harassment or abuse of any of our staff or audience. We ask everyone attending the festival to treat others with respect and mutual understanding, and to keep conversations and discussions civil and mutually courteous and respectful. Everybody has a right to attend LSFF, and is welcome to.
One group being represented on screen does not take away from the rights or representation of another group. Inevitably, radical stories and the conditions in which they are made can be confrontational and difficult. We select films that have something to say and as per our programming ethos, respond to and reflect on the contemporary moment, with our curatorial partners and team.
Every programme on our website will have a content warning containing words that describe both the themes and the script within the films. We hope these act as a guide to help you decide if a programme is suitable for you.
Some of our screenings contain nudity, or violence - these are very clearly signposted and marked in our programme. If at any point you feel upset or unsafe whilst at LSFF, please speak to venue staff or the LSFF venue coordinator. We will then do our best to resolve your complaint within the venue, or escalate it as appropriate.
There will always be LSFF staff at the ICA Industry Hub, where you’re very welcome to visit.
