The Adventures of the Black Girl in Her Search for Mabel Dove
From a post-apocalyptic world in which archives have been destroyed, The Black Girl goes in search of Mabel Dove, an writer from a century earlier whose work inspires her. When the Feminist Bookseller and Africanist Professor do not help her find Dove, she turns to The Revisionists, underground historians in whose cyberarchive she is able to locate Dove and spend an afternoon together. Told in the style of a ciné-roman, the film is an homage to Shaw and Dove's "Adventure" novellas.
