Ian Pons Jewell is one of advertising’s most in-demand and most prolific directors of recent times. Having had a huge stylistic influence on the industry as a whole, he's been voted the number 1 director two years in a row by the renowned Televisual Magazine, continuing to appear in their top 5 year on year.
He originally established himself as one of the new generation of pioneers in the music video format with his surreal video for Naughty Boy - La La La becoming a viral sensation. He has been nominated 3 times for ‘Best Director’ by the UKMVAs and BUG named him as ‘one of the best music video directors working today’.
Outside of directing, he founded ProdCo alongside Zico Judge at the end of 2022. The new production company has made waves since its inception, representing unique directing talent in the commercials and music video space. Ian also has two feature scripts completed through his film company Kayfabe, both written by Hunter Andrews. These are now in development along with other feature projects in earlier stages.
This screening, which includes music videos for Kwes, Tinie Tempah, Beardyman, and Paolo Nutini alongside Ian's short films, will give an audience a chance to see that uncompromising vision in action, seen in work that may offend some, but is original and sometimes jaw dropping.
