The Access Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the delivery of LSFF’s 2027 access project. They will work across programming, production, communications, audience engagement and workforce development to improve accessibility, support audiences with access requirements and help embed inclusive practice across the festival.

    • Fee: £8,880 (75 days @ £118.40 p/d) (£30,784 pro rata)

    • Term: Fixed-term October 2026 - February 2027

    • Hours of employment:
      • October 2026: 4 days/week

      • November 2026: 4 days/week

      • December 2026: 4 days/week

      • January 2027: 5 days/week + festival weekends

      • February 2027: 3 days/week

    • Place of work: This post may be carried out remotely (within the UK), with in person attendance required in London for the full duration of the festival (22 - 31 January 2027) and for any key events and meetings before the festival

    • Additional requirements: The post holder must have access to their own laptop computer

Key responsibilities

    • Work closely with the Festival Team to support the implementation of accessibility and inclusion measures across festival programming, operations, communications, audience engagement and workforce development.

    • Support Festival Producer in the delivery of the festival’s Access Hub, ensuring it provides a welcoming, well-supported and inclusive environment for audiences, filmmakers, volunteers and partners.

    • Act as the main point of contact for access requirements from audiences, filmmakers, partners, venues and staff, providing information about access provision and ensuring an accessible and inclusive festival experience for all.

    • Support Festival Producer in coordinating access provision across festival activity, including captioning, BSL interpretation, audio description, relaxed screenings, audience support measures and other access requirements.

    • Work closely with festival venues to gather venue access information, coordinate access arrangements and ensure audiences receive consistent support across all festival locations.

    • Work with disability-led organisations, community groups, access partners and outreach networks to support audience engagement, access provision and distribution of free ticket allocations.

    • Work closely with the Marketing Lead to ensure accessibility is embedded across all festival communications, including website content, social media, newsletters, trailers, on-screen content, venue signage and access guides.

    • Support the Volunteer Coordinator with the recruitment and management of Access Hub volunteers, alongside the delivery of access training and workforce development activity for staff and volunteers.

    • Coordinate relationships with external consultants, access providers and partners, including supporting the implementation of recommendations and organisational learning.

    • Design and coordinate access-related audience feedback processes to inform future planning.

    • Track and analyse participation, engagement and access-related data, contributing to festival evaluation report and funder reporting requirements.

    • Contribute to internal festival debrief and operational reporting processes, providing insight and recommendations to inform future planning and organisational development.


Experience & skills

  • Proven experience delivering accessibility, inclusion and audience engagement projects within the arts, cultural, film, education or creative sectors.

  • Knowledge of accessibility requirements and inclusive practice across events, festivals, cultural activity and public-facing programmes.

  • Experience coordinating accessible events for public-facing activity.

  • Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders, partners or delivery organisations.

  • Experience working with community organisations, disability-led groups, access partners and audience networks to support audience engagement and participation.

  • Experience producing clear audience-facing information and communications across digital, print and event-based environments.

  • Excellent written English and strong administrative skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Experience gathering, interpreting and reporting qualitative and quantitative feedback and evaluation data.

  • Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively and take initiative within a small team environment.

  • A current enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one prior to appointment, is required for this role.
