NEW SHORTS: Sister Act
Friday 22nd January 2021
RIO, dir. Zhenia Kazankina
Snapping, spiteful, begrudgingly tender: welcome to the highs and lows of sisterhood.
Bonded by family or common cause, these sisters share spaces of vulnerability and solidarity when times get tough - whether the loss of a parent, dreaming beyond the strange daily rituals of a Russian motel, or brought together by blood in a bathroom stall.
Featuring nuanced tales from Russia, Switzerland and London’s outer reaches, with new work from LSFF alumna Rosie Westhoff (Treacle). Guest -programmed by Sylvie Dumont. 84'
