Weirdos and insomniacs, meet us at the witching hour, and travel through to another dimension of danger, disgust and the downright f****d up. Take a journey into a wondrous, spine-shivering, vomit-inducing land where there are no boundaries. Prepare to witness new nightmares from Dean Puckett (The Sermon) and Aislinn Clarke (The Devil's Doorway), and bask in the bloodthirst of malevolent yeast monsters, anthropomorphic wolves, murderously perfectionist AIs, epileptic fruit orgies and extreme sadomasochistic art installations.
Curated by Varun Raman
Yeast is an absurd and grotesque tale about a struggling baker within a hellish bakery who unexpectedly bakes himself a Frankenstein’s monster made of dough and yeast, which takes over his life.
However, the themes underneath the grime and the grit are prevalent and very quickly give's Yeast a deeper, more profound and sad message than the macabre fairytale we were given at the forefront.
The story follows Linda, an up-and-coming actress who steps into a key role on the hit TV show: SILLY HUMAN. We soon find out the production is run by an artificial intelligence who demands one thing: perfection. If a cast member does not meet this requirement, consequences could prove fatal.
In a recording studio, a young sound engineer discovers her mixing board has mysterious abilities, putting her in a position of power over the obnoxious recording artist making her professional life hell.
ON AIR is an Ouroboric supernatural horror story inspired by the rarely discussed politics of the female glass ceiling in the workplace. The film leans into the simmering tension and unspoken nuances of female rivalry, and warns of the self-defeating cycle when women hold each other back rather than building each other up.
