The 19th London Short Film Festival is back with the time-honoured opening night tradition of serving a smorgasbord of the year's finest comedy. Whether your sense of humour is warm and observational, gallows and deadpan, trippy and crude, satirical and politically subversive - Funny Shit has you covered. Watch out for Himesh Patel (Yesterday, Tenet) having an existential crisis, I May Destroy You's Harriet Webb as a driving instructor who thinks she knows everything, EastEnders' Nitin Ganatra questioning his faith, and Phil Davis (Vera Drake) in a short film for people who don't like short films.

"You know, I’ve got to the age where I want to settle down and stop jumping from relationship to relationship every few weeks, but everyone I meet is so immature which I thought wouldn’t be the case now. Know what I mean? what do you do for a job? Ah no way! I love animation! That’s so interesting! Anything I’ve seen? I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be an animator! Bet it’s so fun. I think Pixar is my favourite, that film with the cars is just so dam funny! And Shrek! I almost forget that’s animation, just amazing how people come up with this stuff and make those characters so believable! Is that the sort of stuff you do? Can I see?"
