INTERMISSION YOUTH: Include Us
Free | BSL interpreted
“We feel like this industry excludes us. How do you find your way through without privilege and parents in high places?”
LSFF Festival Director Amanda Parker hosts Intermission Youth's filmmakers, pioneer of Black British cinema Ngozi Onwurah(Welcome II The Terrordome), editor Folasade Oyeleye (Vanessa Redgrave’s Sea Sorrow, Menelik Shabazz’s Looking For Love), Femi Kolade (London Film School) and Mathieu Ajan (BFI NETWORK Talent Executive) in a frank discussion about navigating privilege and structural barriers when starting out in short filmmaking.
Intermission Youth gives disadvantaged young Londoners the tools to make positive choices and become the best version of themselves through drama, film and mentoring.
